Security Architect (SC CLEARED)

Salary: £70k - £90k

Location: Remote (UK) with occasional onsite attendance (approximately 1 day per week)

An established IT Security Consultancy is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join its growing cyber security practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base across public and private sector environments, helping organisations design, implement and maintain secure technology architectures that meet business, regulatory and security requirements.

The Role:

  • Develop and implement cyber security and architecture patterns.
  • Translate client requirements into secure, technology-based solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on technical and operational security controls.
  • Lead complex cyber security solution deployments for new and existing clients.
  • Produce and own High-Level Design (HLD) documentation.
  • Contribute to security architecture governance, technical design reviews and security standards development.
  • Support project delivery plans, risks, issues and strategic security initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and guide secure solution design.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of security architecture principles, secure operations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Cyber Security Technical Architect or Security Architect role.
  • Experience working across commercial, public sector or industrial environments.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, OWASP, TOGAF, MODAF and related security frameworks.

  • CISSP
  • SABSA Chartered Security Architect
  • CREST Registered Technical Security Architect
  • NCSC CCP Cyber Security/IA Architect

Security Clearance:

Candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo the UK Government security clearance process.
