Job Description

Why consider joining our Digital Trust & Cyber Security community? 🤔

PA has one of the leading applied quantum capabilities in consulting, combining expertise across quantum sensing, quantum computing, and quantum-safe security. Working closely with Jacobs and our wider global teams, we help government and commercial clients explore, adopt and secure emerging quantum technologies.

As organisations increasingly prepare for the transition to quantum-safe cryptography, we are helping clients understand their exposure to quantum risk, develop migration strategies and embed cryptographic agility into their technology landscapes.

Unlike many roles focused solely on technology delivery, this position offers the opportunity to help shape a rapidly emerging market. You will work alongside leading experts in cybersecurity, quantum technologies and critical infrastructure while helping some of the world's largest organisations prepare for a future where cryptographic trust must evolve.

Grow a flexible and unique career within a trust-based, inclusive environment that values excellence, innovation, and curiosity. You have the option to progress with us on a technical career track. No need to go onto the Partner career track if this doesn’t align with what you want to do.

Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week.

Deepen your expertise through our culture of learning and growth, with access to technical and non-technical training, professional certifications, and opportunities to contribute to our growing quantum and cryptography community.

Join other experts within our supportive and collaborative tech community through knowledge-sharing and peer-level support, coaching and mentoring

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
