Security Assistant Project Manager G4S Sizewell C
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, baseline tracking, and ongoing maintenance of project plans, schedules, and operational milestones across the Sizewell C security portfolio.
- Monitor project progress across all security workstreams and produce robust status reports, dashboards, and management information metrics.
- Maintain central project governance documentation, including complete action, decision, risk, and issue logs (RAID logs), ensuring timely updates and escalation.
- Coordinate project activities, operational alignment, and stakeholder engagement across multi-disciplinary site departments, Tier 1 contractors, and client teams.
- Maintain rigorous document control and project record management in strict accordance with agreed site governance processes and ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Support internal and external assurance reviews, audits, and compliance activities, including evidence gathering, audit preparation, and action tracking.
- Produce clear management information, executive performance dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
- Provide day-to-day project administration and operational coordination support as directed by the Security Compliance Manager and Projects & Assurance Manager.
- Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all security operational areas, embedding an active, proactive safety culture.
- Ensure all personnel management, project activities, and access procedures comply strictly with G4S HR policies, nuclear safety rules, and security vetting mandates.
Skills and Competencies
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft concise management reports, project dashboards, and executive briefings.
- Planning & Organisation: Strong project planning, tracking, and organizational capabilities, with acute attention to detail and governance rigor.
- Tool Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint for project documentation and workflow management.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and customer-focused skills, capable of coordinating activities effectively across diverse internal and external workstreams.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements, multi-agency responses, and dynamic nuclear construction phases.
- Problem Solving & Teamwork: Collaborative team player with an innovative, solution-oriented approach to resolving project roadblocks and risks.

Profile
Educational Requirements/Qualifications
- A good standard of education in Maths, English, and IT.
- Solid knowledge of recognized project management principles (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent).
Preferred Experience
- Proven track record in a Project Support Officer (PSO) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) role.
- Experience working within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), nuclear new build, major infrastructure, military, or police environments.
- Demonstrable experience in maintaining project governance artifacts (action, decision, risk, and issue logs).
- Proven capability in establishing collaborative relationships with client representatives and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Practical experience supporting quality audits, compliance assurance, and document control.

Professional Qualifications/Memberships
- PRINCE2 Foundation / Practitioner or APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ / PFQ) held or working towards.
- Risk Management qualification held or developing towards.
- IOSH Managing Safely or relevant Health & Safety qualification preferred.
Specific Occupational Requirements
- Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting.
- UK Driving License is essential.
- Produce a Five-year verifiable work history.

Other Information
- Competitive Market Rate - 12-Month Fixed Term contract (Mobilisation Target: 1st December 2026)
- 40 hours per week – Office Hours with operational flexibility and hybrid working options as required.
