We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.

From our London HQ, we unite world-class researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution - because the best ideas take time to evolve. Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.

Security is foundational to this mission and must be delivered in a way that supports how our engineering teams build and operate complex systems at scale.

Take the next step in your career.

The role

We’re looking for a Security Automation Engineer to join our Security Automation Engineering (SAE) team in London.

The team designs and implements automated detection and response capabilities that protect G-Research’s diverse and complex estate, spanning high-performance compute (HPC) environments, Azure and Windows corporate infrastructure, and public cloud platforms such as AWS.

As part of SAE, you’ll play a hands-on role building secure, scalable, and reliable automation systems that enable Security to respond faster, reduce manual effort, and improve our overall cyber resilience. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and security specialists to deliver production-quality systems, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of SAE’s platform and tooling ecosystem.

SAE is a high-performing team of security professionals turned engineers. As part of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to G-Research’s defensive capabilities — developing tools and automation that help detect, respond to, and contain cyber threats at scale.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
