Security Cleared Escort/Support Engineer

Skanska Building Services are a leader in facilities management, trusted by top-tier clients across critical sectors.
We are currently looking for Security Escorts to join our team full-time at the Ministry of Defence Main Building in Westminster.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting secure site operations by ensuring contractors and visitors comply with security requirements while working within a highly sensitive environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of key projects at a high-profile government location.
As a Security Cleared Escort - Support Engineer, you will:
- Escort contractors, visitors, and personnel within secure and restricted areas of the site.
- Ensure compliance with all security procedures and report any concerns or breaches promptly.
- Carry out routine operational tasks and site checks as directed.
- Monitor and maintain stock and spare parts levels, including ordering supplies when required.
- Complete a range of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) support activities.
- Coordinate waste management and disposal processes in accordance with site procedures.
- Support the completion of reactive maintenance tasks, including occasional manual handling activities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with site teams and stakeholders.

We Are Looking For
- Be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance. Due to the nature of the clearance requirements, applicants must be UK citizens.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge where necessary and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Be reliable, professional, and capable of working within strict security procedures.
- Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Be a strong team player with a positive attitude.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a facilities management, maintenance, site support, stores, logistics, or "handyperson" environment.
- Experience working within secure, government, defence, or highly regulated environments.
- Awareness of basic maintenance activities and safe working practices.
