Security Consultant - £45,000 Location: Remote, UK Type: Permanent, full-time Travel: Occasional client and office visits

We are supporting a specialist cyber security business looking to hire an early-career Security Consultant. Applicants must have 1-3 years' experience in a cybersecurity role and be eligible for SC Clearance (Lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years)

You will work with experienced security professionals to review client systems, identify weaknesses and recommend practical improvements. The role offers exposure to cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, identity systems and emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client security reviews and technical assessments
  • Analyse systems, controls and security configurations
  • Identify risks, weaknesses and areas for improvement
  • Help prepare clear reports and recommendations
  • Join client workshops and incident-response exercises
  • Research new threats, tools and AI security developments

Requirements

  • A basic understanding of cyber security and common threats
  • Some exposure to IT, cloud, infrastructure, networking or security
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • A willingness to learn and develop within consulting
  • UK right to work and flexibility to travel occasionally

Desirable

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, networking, endpoint security or automation
  • Personal projects, home labs or practical technical training
  • An interest in AI security
  • Security+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-series, AWS or Azure certifications
  • A relevant degree or technical qualification

This role would suit someone looking to build broad technical skills while developing experience in a client-facing cyber security environment.
