Security Consultant
Location: Flexible UK (Client Travel Required)
Career Level: Consultant
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)
We're working with a global technology consultancy delivering secure, large-scale digital transformation programmes across Health, Public Sector, Defence, and Central Government.
This opportunity is ideal for security professionals looking to specialise in either Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Security Architecture, while gaining exposure to complex client environments, emerging technologies, and high-profile transformation programmes.

What you will need as a Security Consultant (GRC or Security Architecture)
For GRC-focused candidates:
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance principles
- Experience assessing and implementing security controls against frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, NCSC guidance, or similar standards
- Experience conducting risk assessments, security reviews, audits, and assurance activities
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and provide clear security advice and recommendations

For Security Architecture-focused candidates:
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design methodologies
- Experience with technologies such as PAM, SSO, IDAM, cloud security, and network security
- Understanding of threat modelling, security design reviews, and reference architecture development
- Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to embed security into solutions
