About The Role

This role is in the Managed Security and Cyber Operations team, part of the Service and Business Operations area of BT Business – a team of 12,000 people supporting over 1 million UK Customers, from household names and government departments to small businesses and start-up.

Security is a key focus and investment area for BT Group, as we continue to accelerate our ambition to become the world's most trusted connector of people, devices and machines.

With big companies constantly under scrutiny and at risk of cyber threats from sophisticated criminal organisations and state actors, we need to be ever more vigilant to protect our customers, our own business and our colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support / manage assigned customer contract(s) as defined by the Security Governance & Assurance Manager / Specialist
  • Support the operational relationships with assigned customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver aspects of security framework(s) applicable to assigned contract(s).
  • Maintain the currency of security governance / framework documents / system.
  • Run meetings and their associated governance, e.g. setting agendas, issuing clear minutes and actions; achieving timely resolution of actions.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Stakeholder Management via clear written and spoken communication.
  • Embrace challenges as learning opportunities.
  • Evaluate options and making informed choices.
  • Ability to manage own time and work independently.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Understand security framework(s) and controls and support the management of their effectiveness
  • Working knowledge of how security requirements are applied in operational or delivery contexts
  • Understand the application of frameworks e.g. ISO27001, NCSC, NIS, Security Policy Framework.
  • Accreditations aligned to relevant security or regulatory frameworks
