Join Our Team as a Security Control Room Operative
The Security Control Room Operative plays a pivotal role in maintaining safety and security at our client's site in Aberdeen, directly reporting to the Security Manager and Deputy Security Manager. This position is situated within a dedicated security team responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, responding to alarms, and coordinating emergency responses, ensuring a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
About The Role
As Security Control Room Operative you will be responsible for:
- Continuously monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies to detect potential threats and coordinate appropriate responses.
- Act as the central communication point between security personnel, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during incidents, emergencies, and critical events.
- Accurately record, investigate, and maintain reports of security incidents, ensuring all actions taken are properly documented and escalated when required.
- Monitor access control systems, review entry logs, and ensure compliance with security, health and safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Conduct security drills, review incident trends, evaluate system performance, and recommend improvements to security procedures and technology.
- Deliver operational updates to management, support and guide team members on security procedures, and foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For
- DS and CCTV licence are essential
- Advanced knowledge and experience in using Genetec and C-Cure Systems.
- Experience in security operations or control room environments.
- Familiarity with emergency response protocols and incident management.
- Exposure to monitoring surveillance systems and alarm responses.
- Understanding of organizational values and strategic objectives in a security context.
