Security Control Room Operator
Initially 3 months full time contract starts ASAP, 5 days on site in central London, day time only 8 hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 only).
Inside IR35 contract paid via umbrella company, £160 per day.
Our client is a global leading high tech company based in central London.
You will cover alarm monitoring, CCTV, access control administration and on-site access control. The operator works from the control room throughout the shift and does not attend incidents in person:
- Monitor the alarm management system and respond to alerts, including fire alarms, door-held and door-forced alarms, and environmental alerts such as comms room temperature
- Monitor live CCTV and review recorded footage when investigating incidents
- Administer access control: issue, amend and deactivate access cards, and keep access records accurate
- Control access to the premises, including verifying identity, managing visitor and contractor passes, and authorising or refusing entry
- Coordinate incident response remotely, contacting on-site teams, facilities, emergency services and keyholders as required
- Escalate in line with company procedures and keep stakeholders updated until resolution
- Log all alarms, incidents and actions accurately in the incident management system

Requirements:

- SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licence, valid for the full term
- SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence, valid for the full term
- Corporate control room or security operations centre experience
- Alarm management, access control and CCTV system proficiency
- Clear written and verbal communication under pressure
- BS 7858:2019 screening clearance, completed before start
- Leave/holiday is requested through on-site security lead with at least 10 working days' notice
