About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Vbeyond. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable security data platforms, pipelines, and integrations that support advanced security analytics, machine learning initiatives, and Security Knowledge Graph development. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the availability, reliability, and governance of security data across enterprise environments, facilitating proactive threat detection and security posture enhancement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, with a strong background in security data management. A deep understanding of modern data platforms, cloud data engineering, and API development is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Python and SQL, experience with event streaming technologies, and familiarity with graph databases and security concepts. Certifications in cloud data engineering, Databricks, Snowflake, or security are highly desirable, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest security telemetry and enterprise data sources.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes, data models, APIs, and integration services to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Integrate platforms such as ServiceNow, Dynatrace, and other security tooling into the enterprise data ecosystem, enhancing observability and automation.
- Create and maintain Security Knowledge Graph data pipelines and graph models to facilitate security analytics and threat intelligence.
- Prepare high-quality, trusted datasets and features suitable for analytics, machine learning, and security operations.
- Implement data governance best practices, including data quality, lineage, access controls, and observability to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency, supporting enterprise security needs.
- Collaborate closely with security analysts, data scientists, platform teams, and architects to align data solutions with security objectives.
- Ensure security data is reliable, timely, governed, and suitable for downstream analytics and decision-making processes.
