About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Vbeyond. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable security data platforms, pipelines, and integrations that support advanced security analytics, machine learning, and Security Knowledge Graph initiatives. This role is crucial in ensuring that security data across enterprise environments is reliable, governed, and available in a timely manner to facilitate threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures. The Security Data Engineer will collaborate closely with security analysts, data scientists, platform teams, and architects to develop robust data solutions that meet enterprise security needs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, with a strong background in security data ecosystems. A deep understanding of modern data platforms, cloud data engineering, and scalable architecture design is essential. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and API development, along with experience in event streaming and graph databases, is required. Certifications in cloud data engineering, Databricks, Snowflake, or related platforms are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and a solid understanding of security telemetry, threat intelligence, and data governance principles.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest security telemetry and enterprise data sources.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes, data models, APIs, and integration services to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
- Integrate security platforms such as ServiceNow, Dynatrace, and other ITSM or observability tools into the enterprise data ecosystem.
- Design, develop, and maintain Security Knowledge Graph data pipelines and graph models to facilitate security analytics and threat detection.
- Prepare trusted datasets and features for analytics, machine learning, and security use cases, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Implement data governance policies, including data lineage, access controls, security, and compliance standards.
- Ensure data observability by monitoring data quality, lineage, and pipeline performance, addressing issues proactively.
- Optimize data architectures for performance, resilience, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand security requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Maintain documentation and best practices for data engineering processes and security data management.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in security data engineering, cloud platforms, and security analytics tools.
