Work on Technology That Protects What Matters
At SiXworks, we build secure digital solutions that support Defence and National Security missions. Our teams work on complex problems where reliability, security, and speed of innovation matter.
We’re looking for a Security Delivery Manager who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.
What You’ll Do
The Security Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of security outcomes across programmes and initiatives, ensuring that security is embedded effectively and consistently. Reporting into the CISO, this role provides leadership to Programme Security Leads and acts as the bridge between strategic security direction and execution. The role requires strong stakeholder management, the ability to operate across technical and non-technical domains, and the capability to drive security adoption in a complex environment.
Your work may include:
- Leading and managing a team of Programme Security Leads, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight
- Ensuring consistent and effective security delivery across programmes, aligning to organisational security strategy and policies
- Acting as the primary escalation point for security delivery risks, issues, and dependencies across programmes
- Building strong relationships with programme managers, technology leaders, and business stakeholders to embed security into delivery lifecycles
- Overseeing prioritisation and allocation of security resources across competing programme demands
- Driving the adoption of secure-by-design principles across projects and programmes
- Tracking and reporting on security delivery metrics, risks, and maturity to senior stakeholders
- Collaborating with Security Architecture, Engineering, and GRC teams to ensure alignment and cohesion across all security disciplines
- Supporting governance processes, including risk management, exception handling, and assurance activities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Experience of delivering security across large-scale programmes or portfolios
- Broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, including risk, architecture, and engineering

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate security into business-relevant language
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make risk-based decisions under pressure
