Doorman - Security

Job Type: Part-time

Location: Shark Club Newcastle

About the Role

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and confident Doorman Security to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and controlled environment for guests, staff, and visitors while representing the business in a calm and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage entry and exit points, including checking IDs where required.
  • Monitor customer behaviour and help prevent disorder, conflict, or unsafe situations.
  • Manage queues and support safe crowd control inside and outside the venue.
  • Refuse entry or remove individuals when necessary, following company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, or disturbances.
  • Liaise with management, staff, emergency services, and local authorities when required.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication during each shift.
  • Help protect customers, staff, property, and premises from damage, theft, or unauthorised access.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Requirements

  • Valid frontline SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in door supervision, pub, bar, club, event, or hospitality security is required.
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and confident under pressure.
  • Good awareness of customer safety, safeguarding, and venue security procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
  • Smart appearance and a professional attitude.
  • Right to work in the UK.
