Overview

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day security operation at Quayside, a busy shopping centre located in MediaCity, Manchester.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing the onsite security team and ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, colleagues and stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a team, strong communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to lead security operations throughout their shift. A valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence are both essential, along with good computer literacy and the ability to complete reports and maintain accurate records.

About the Role

As Security Duty Manager, you will take responsibility for the effective running of the security operation during your shift, providing leadership and support to the onsite security team and ensuring consistently high standards of service.

You will oversee daily security activities, including CCTV and Control Room operations, incident response, site patrols and team deployment, ensuring procedures are followed and any issues are dealt with professionally and effectively.

Working within a busy customer-facing environment, you will be expected to lead by example, maintain a professional and visible presence and work collaboratively with centre management and the wider operations team.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern, consisting of four day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, followed by four days off, then four night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, followed by four days off.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
