Role: Security Engineer

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Job Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain security detection rules, analytics, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Conduct proactive cyber threat hunting to identify suspicious activities and emerging threats.
  • Perform threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities, attack paths, and security risks.
  • Conduct offensive security testing to assess and strengthen security controls.
  • Develop and improve advanced threat protection and detection capabilities.
  • Support incident and response engineering, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
  • Perform digital forensics and analyse security events to determine root causes and attack techniques.
  • Develop security automation and engineering solutions using Python and Go.
  • Integrate security practices into DevOps and Agile development environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to implement effective security controls.
  • Apply AI literacy to understand emerging AI-related security risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong customer-centric approach, ensuring security solutions address business and user needs.
  • Continuously research new threats, attack techniques, tools, and security technologies.
  • Contribute to security standards, best practices, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Strong experience in Security Engineering / Cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting.
  • Strong understanding of Threat Modeling and common attack methodologies.
  • Experience with Offensive Security / Penetration Testing.
  • Knowledge of Incident Response and Response Engineering.
  • Experience with Digital Forensics and security investigations.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go (Golang).
  • Experience working with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Understanding of Advanced Threat Protection technologies.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving cyber threats.
