IT Security Engineer (Wazuh) – Remote – SC Cleared – 6 months - £500-600pd (outside IR35)
We are currently working with a public sector body that is recruiting for an IT Security Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract (highly likely to be extended).
This is an SC Cleared role which requires an immediate start, so candidates need to hold current valid SC Clearance.
Key skills and capabilities required:
- Experience in Ops Sec roles, carrying out threat and vulnerability monitoring and risk assessment
- Strong skills working with Wazuh (essential), as well as other SIEM tools (preferably Splunk)
- Experience working with StreamAlert (or similar)
- Excellent knowledge of ISO27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials
- Extensive knowledge of security threats, controls, processes and solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable in a primarily remote role with occasional travel to London office
- Able to work on-call one week in three
- Valid SC Clearance
