Cyber Security Engineer, Remote (UK), SC Clearance Required £50,000 - £65,000

Clearance: Active SC clearance, or eligibility for SC (minimum five years continuous UK residency). No exceptions.

I'm supporting a growing managed security services provider that is looking to hire a Cyber Security Engineer to lead the deployment and configuration of security platforms across its customer base.

You'll be the technical lead in front of customers, taking them from initial design through to cutover, then supporting them as the environment beds in. This is a hands-on role, and you'll build deep, expert-level knowledge of the platforms you deploy.

The role

  • Configure and deploy security solutions into customer environments
  • Migrate customers from their existing tooling onto the new platform
  • Analyse platform logs to troubleshoot and identify issues
  • Work with vendor technical support teams to resolve cases
  • Deliver against agreed project scope, on time
  • Produce technical documentation and diagrams for each engagement
  • Provide out of hours support where needed for cutovers and maintenance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
