Security Engineer
Birmingham (Hybrid) | Occasional Travel | £55,000
We're working with a growing cyber security consultancy looking to add a Security Engineer to its expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, or a SOC environment who wants to further develop their skills across the Microsoft security stack.
You'll be involved in deploying and optimising security solutions, developing detections, supporting incident investigations, enhancing monitoring capabilities, and contributing to security automation initiatives. The role offers exposure to technologies including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security, KQL, vulnerability management, and security automation.

What we're looking for:
- Experience in a Security Engineer, Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or similar role
- Exposure to Microsoft security technologies such as Defender and Sentinel
- Understanding of security operations, threat detection, and incident response
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to cyber security
- Experience with KQL, PowerShell, security automation, or vulnerability management would be advantageous
