About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a well-established Fire & Security company that services Essex and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting a variety of electronic security systems across commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career within a supportive environment that values technical expertise and customer service excellence. The Security Engineer will work independently, managing their own schedule while ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Qualifications
- Relevant experience as a Security Engineer
- Proven track record in servicing and maintaining electronic security systems
- Full UK driving license
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Prior experience working with systems from manufacturers such as Hikvision, Hanwha, Avigilon, Paxton, Gallagher, Texecom, Honeywell Galaxy, Pyronix, Orisec, or CSL DualCom is highly desirable
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Adherence to industry standards
Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance, and fault diagnosis on CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems to ensure optimal operation and security.
- Carry out small installation projects, system upgrades, and enhancements as required.
- Identify and troubleshoot faults efficiently, providing effective solutions to minimize system downtime.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance visits to ensure systems remain compliant and functional.
- Complete detailed service reports, documentation, and logs accurately and promptly.
- Offer technical support and advice to customers, ensuring they understand system functionalities and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain and develop strong customer relationships through professional communication and reliable service delivery.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
