🚨 Hiring: Senior SecOps Engineer | Microsoft Security
I'm working with a specialist Microsoft Security organisation that's continuing to grow its Cyber Engineering team and is looking for 2 x Senior SecOps Engineers.
This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role for someone with strong experience across the Microsoft Security stack, particularly Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
You'll be working across enterprise customer environments, helping design, implement and optimise Microsoft security solutions rather than simply monitoring alerts within a SOC.
What they're looking for:
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Sentinel experience
- KQL – detections, analytics and threat hunting
- Microsoft Defender XDR / Defender for Endpoint
- SIEM/SOAR engineering and automation
- Incident response and threat detection
- Experience implementing and configuring security solutions
- Confidence working directly with customers and technical stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Experience across Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Purview, Intune and Security Copilot would be a big advantage.
Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-100, AZ-500, AZ-104 or AZ-305 are also highly desirable.
Previous experience working within Microsoft or the Microsoft Partner ecosystem would be particularly interesting.
