Location: Warwick / Wokingham / Corsham / Farnborough, UK
Working Model: Hybrid – predominantly remote, with occasional travel to customer sites
Duration: 6 months
Start: ASAP
Clearance: BPSS mandatory; SC Clearance required

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to take technical ownership of the customer's security infrastructure estate within a major data centre network build programme.

You will act as the senior technical point of reference for security-related projects, changes, incidents, infrastructure design, and vendor escalations.

  • Own the customer's security infrastructure estate, processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as the senior technical point of reference for security projects, changes, and firewall rule-base modifications.
  • Provide technical escalation and interface with vendors for security infrastructure incidents.
  • Design and support High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for customer networks.
  • Provide technical support for physical and remote infrastructure changes.
  • Manage security infrastructure change management activities.
  • Maintain customer inventory, including hardware/software assets and End-of-Life (EOL) management.
  • Support network and security infrastructure across data centre environments.

Must-Have Skills

  • F5
  • Zscaler
  • Palo Alto
  • Recent, hands-on experience with all three technologies.
  • Strong enterprise network security experience.
  • Firewall administration, rule-base management, and troubleshooting.
  • Security infrastructure design and implementation.
  • VPN technologies: IPsec, SSL VPN, and DMVPN.
  • WAN technologies and routing protocols.
  • Strong technical documentation and change management experience.
  • Ability to operate as a senior technical escalation point.
