Security Engineer

London (Hybrid)

The client:

This company is using AI to speed up the discovery of new medicines. The work moves fast, and the teams need to keep pace, so security has to enable that pace rather than slow it down.

You would sit on the corporate side of security, protecting the workforce, the identity systems, and the sensitive data behind the science.

The role:

  • Design and support the corporate IAM setup, including group structures, identity integrations, and clean onboarding and offboarding
  • Audit corporate systems and run the tooling behind them, from logging and monitoring to DLP and data labelling
  • Improve data governance across Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, and Slack by learning what people actually need and building workable models around it
  • Work with the Detection and Response team to triage alerts and help lead the response when something goes wrong
  • Build security into everyday operations, like onboarding new tools, setting up data transfers, and handling external integrations
  • Run vendor and software audits, and tighten up SaaS security posture across the estate
  • Use AI and automation to take the routine work off your plate and speed up triage
  • Be the friendly point of contact who helps teams stay secure without adding friction

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
