Security Engineer (Remote UK)
Overview
We are looking for a motivated and technically focused Security Engineer to support the protection of systems, networks and digital assets in a fully remote UK-based role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate who has a strong interest in cybersecurity, problem-solving and technology and wants to develop practical security engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring and protection of systems, applications and networks.
- Assist with identifying and investigating potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Help maintain security controls, policies and technical documentation.
- Support incident investigation and security response activities.
- Work with technical teams to help improve system and infrastructure security.
- Assist with security assessments and routine technical checks.
- Monitor security alerts and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Support improvements to security processes and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of security findings and actions.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity risks and threats.

Requirements
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and information security.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of networks, systems and security principles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Comfortable learning new technologies and security concepts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Previous cybersecurity, IT or technical project experience is beneficial but not essential.
