Security Engineer

Fully Remote (UK) | SC Clearance Eligibility Required

Build Your Security Engineering Career With a Team That Invests in Your Growth

Are you already working within Cyber Security and finding yourself drawn towards the engineering side of the discipline?

Perhaps you've gained experience implementing security tooling, building detections, improving monitoring capabilities, supporting cloud security initiatives, or automating manual processes. You're technically curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to continue developing as a Security Engineer, but you're looking for a role that offers genuine support, mentorship, and a clear career path.

If so, we'd love to speak with you.

We're hiring a Security Engineer to join a growing cyber security consultancy that's passionate about developing talent and helping people reach their potential.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of modern security technologies across the Microsoft security ecosystem, including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, KQL, vulnerability management, automation, and cloud security. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals who are committed to helping you expand your technical capability while exposing you to a variety of customer environments and projects.

We're not necessarily looking for the finished article. Instead, we're looking for someone with solid foundations, hands-on security experience, and the desire to continue developing their engineering expertise.

From day one, you'll receive a tailored development plan aligned to your strengths, experience, and long-term career ambitions. Whether your goal is to deepen your engineering skills, become a Microsoft Security specialist, develop automation expertise, or progress into a senior engineering position, you'll have the support, mentoring, training, and certification opportunities needed to get there.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where professional development is prioritised, progression is encouraged, and Security Engineering is viewed as a long-term career path.

As a Security Engineer, you'll help design, implement, and enhance security solutions that protect clients against an evolving cyber threat landscape.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
