We are working with a growing cyber security business, looking for a Security Engineer to join their team in Glasgow.

This role is all about building solutions, automating processes and improving security operations. Rather than just maintaining existing systems, you'll have dedicated time to work on projects, try new ideas and build tools that make a real difference.

What you'll be doing

  • Building automation to reduce manual work across security operations.
  • Integrating security tools using APIs.
  • Developing scripts, tools and solutions to improve the platform.
  • Working with AWS, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improving cloud security, fixing vulnerabilities and making systems more reliable.
  • Working with the wider team to identify problems and build solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with coding or scripting, ideally Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
  • Understanding of APIs, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
  • An interest in security and improving how things work.

You don't need to come from a traditional security background. DevOps, SRE and Platform Engineers with transferable skills and an interest in cyber security are encouraged to apply.

We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, brings their own ideas and wants to get stuck into technical problems.

Location

Glasgow office, with a 3 day in-office and 2 day work from home arrangement
