About The Role
At GRAHAM, our people are the core of our business and the force behind our success. As a Security Guard, you’ll be instrumental in creating a welcoming and safe environment, which will help us deliver exceptional results for our client and the college communities we serve.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager the Security Guard will be responsible for security onsite at Belfast Metropolitan College, Belfast. You will work as part of the onsite team but must demonstrate ability to work on own initiative

Location: Belfast Metropolitan College, Millfield Campus
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week ( Rotating Morning & Evening Shifts)

- Managing access and egress for all site holders including managing automated access systems for cars and pedestrians
- Monitoring CCTV, access, egress and site internal
- Carrying out security patrols
- Carrying out security checks on site
- Manning front of house entrances
- Assisting the site team in carrying out their duties regarding the daily operation of site
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Must have an SIA license in front of house duties
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience of security business or working in a similar environment
- Must have SIA CCTV operator’s license
- GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocol
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in school/college sector
- Security control office experience is advantageous
