About the Role
As the Security Incident Management (SIM) Lead, you will drive how Computacenter responds to and prepares for cyber incidents. This critical role involves:
- Shaping and defining the end-to-end security incident management framework
- Building, maintaining, and evolving processes to ensure organisational readiness for incidents
- Ownership of a structured security incident exercise programme that tests both processes and resilience
Your responsibilities span:
- Ensuring the framework remains clear, effective, and continuously improved, from triage to response
- Designing and executing realistic incident exercises to identify gaps and embed improvements
- Collaborating across Cyber Security operational teams
- Providing consistency in incident handling through standardised playbooks, procedures, and expectations
- Managing key deliverables such as monthly SIM reviews, annual security risk contributions, and routine reporting
- Surge capacity and senior escalation for priority incidents

Ownership & Improvement:
- Drive and evolve the Security Incident Management process, ensuring alignment across teams.

Incident Playbooks & Procedures:
- Develop and maintain playbooks, workflows, and procedures with focus on threat/risk/operational relevance.

Incident Exercises:
- Design and coordinate the annual security incident exercise programme.
- Facilitate exercises from tabletop simulations to complex multi-team scenarios.
- Ensure objectives are clear, outcomes measurable, and improvements actionable.

Continuous Improvement:
- Apply lessons learned from incidents and exercises to enhance resilience.
- Continuous lessons learned integration into the framework.

Leadership & Escalation:
- Act as the escalation point for high-priority incidents, providing coordination, support, and decisiveness.
- Collaborate with Incident Management (MIM) and Cyber Support Services (CSS) teams.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Own the Monthly SIM Review with insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Senior Experience:
- 5+ years in security/incident management at senior leadership level.
- Practical experience in large, complex, global organisations.

- Proven ability to define and mature end-to-end SIM frameworks beyond mere operation.

Exercise & Simulation Expertise:
- Extensive hands-on experience designing/delivering security incident response exercises.

- Strong record of embedding playbooks, governance, and workflows across teams.

Improvement-driven:
- Evidence of transforming response capabilities using industry best practices.

Resilience Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead decision-making during live cyber incidents with focus on improving processes.

- Maturity working across technical/non-technical teams in a matrix environment.
