We help organisations transform through cloud, cyber security, AI, and digital innovation. As our Managed Services capability grows, we're looking for an experienced SIOC Network Engineer to support, maintain, and optimise critical customer environments.
This is a hands-on technical role within our Security and Infrastructure Operations Centre (SIOC), with a strong focus on networking, connectivity, and enterprise infrastructure. You'll work across complex customer environments, troubleshooting network issues, responding to operational incidents, and helping ensure services remain secure, resilient, and highly available.

- Monday to Friday
- Rotating shifts between 08:00–20:00
- On-call rota
What You'll Do
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot customer network environments.
- Investigate and resolve network incidents, performance issues, and connectivity problems.
- Configure and support firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, SD-WAN, and associated network services.
- Provide 2nd line support across enterprise networking, cloud networking, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and network security issues.
- Support firewall rule changes, network access requirements, and connectivity requests.
- Monitor alerts and events across networking, infrastructure, and security platforms.
- Assist with major incidents and work with technical teams to restore services quickly.
- Support network changes, upgrades, and continual service improvement activities.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers and technology partners where appropriate.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with customers, internal teams, and technology partners to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to improving monitoring, operational processes, and the overall reliability of customer network services.

- Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies (any vendor). Experience with Arista VeloCloud and/or Aruba EdgeConnect (Silver Peak) is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP. Expert-level knowledge is not required.
- Familiarity with enterprise firewall technologies (any vendor). Experience with Palo Alto Networks and/or Fortinet FortiGate is advantageous.
- Understanding of enterprise switching concepts, including VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and basic Layer 3 switching. Experience with any major vendor platform is acceptable.
- Understanding of enterprise wireless networking and wireless LAN technologies. Exposure to Aruba AOS 8/10, Cisco Meraki, or Fortinet wireless solutions is beneficial.
- Awareness of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) concepts. Experience with platforms such as Zscaler is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure networking, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Virtual WAN (vWAN), User Defined Routes (UDRs), and hybrid network connectivity concepts.
- Familiarity with IPsec VPN technologies, including site-to-site VPN deployment and troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise network environments, escalating complex issues to senior engineers where appropriate.
- A willingness to learn and develop technical skills across networking, security, cloud networking, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple incidents in a fast-paced operational environment.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
Desirable Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or equivalent networking knowledge.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) certification, or equivalent Azure networking experience.
