Role: Security Manager - Site Based - Shopping Centre
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + performance-related bonus (paid every six months) and benefits

Role Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Security Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a team of Security Officers within a busy retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a strong operational background in the security industry who is committed to maintaining high standards of service delivery, compliance, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and support a team of Security Officers across the site.
- Conduct staff inductions and coordinate ongoing training and development.
- Manage performance, attendance, conduct, and employee relations matters in line with company procedures.
- Carry out investigations where required and maintain accurate records.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders, including the Police, Local Authorities, and other external partners.
- Complete operational audits and ensure compliance with contractual service standards.
- Monitor performance against agreed service levels and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed, including the completion of risk assessments and promotion of safe working practices.
- Support payroll administration and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including right-to-work checks, vetting, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records using internal systems and produce reports where required.
- Ensure compliance with statutory fire safety and health & safety regulations across the site.

About You

- Previous experience in a Security Management role.
- A valid SIA License.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience managing investigations, performance issues and operational compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a varied workload.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to use operational management systems.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and security industry best practices.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who can balance operational demands with effective leadership, ensuring a safe, secure, and professional environment for all stakeholders.
