Security Manager – Glasgow

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Security Manager to join the team.

As a Security Manager, you will lead the management of security requirements across projects, including Security Aspect Letters, Cyber Risk Assessments, risk identification and mitigation. You will work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure security requirements are effectively managed and delivered.

Working pattern: Hybrid

Key Deliverables:

  • Drafting and updating Security Aspect Letters (SALs) and/or Grading Guides.
  • Completion and tracking of Cyber Risk Assessments and annual Supplier Assurance Questionnaires (SAQs). Review Contractor Cyber Essentials and compliance.
  • Maintain Security Management Plans and other associated security documentation.
  • Receive, review and submit security business case and management plans for contractors.
  • Liaise with Contractor Security Controllers on a regular basis. Conduct security advisory audits.
  • Development of Secure by Design compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Liaison with Programme Security Stakeholders, Programme Security Leads, Principal Security Advisors and Defence Suppliers.
  • Identification of security risks/sensitivities and implementation of effective mitigations.
  • Advising on the appropriate acquisition strategy from a security perspective.
  • Support in preparation of security inputs to approvals submissions.
  • Ensuring effective security measures are maintained throughout the Programme.
  • Management of Project information release into the public domain.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential

  • Strong organisational, administrative and record-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstratable suitable qualification and experience relating to Security Management.

Desirable

  • Experience working with Contractors and supply chain compliance with a secure environment.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and Secure by Design Principles.
  • Chartered member of an appropriate professional body.
