38 hours per week, as per site rota – shift pattern consists of a rotation between 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–23:00

Anchor Group Services is recruiting Security Officers for The Elephant, a landmark mixed-use development at the heart of Elephant & Castle. Bringing together retail, residential and public spaces, The Elephant is set to become a vibrant destination where residents, visitors, retailers and communities come together.
This is a unique opportunity to join a flagship London mobilisation from day one, helping to establish standards, culture and service excellence across a brand-new development. As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment whilst delivering exceptional customer service to everyone who visits, lives or works at The Elephant.

About the Role
As a Security Officer, you'll be at the forefront of safety and customer service across this exciting new destination. Working across retail, residential and public spaces, you'll carry out patrols, respond to incidents, support visitors and residents, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits The Elephant.
You'll be a visible ambassador for both Anchor Group Services and The Elephant, demonstrating professionalism, integrity and excellent customer service at all times.

Duties Include:
- Protect people, property and assets in accordance with site procedures and Assignment Instructions.
- Conduct regular patrols across retail, residential and public areas, identifying and reporting any security or safety concerns.
- Provide a visible, professional and reassuring presence for residents, visitors, retailers and contractors.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance.
- Monitor access control, challenge unauthorised persons and ensure site security procedures are followed.
- Manage and de-escalate incidents involving anti-social behaviour, suspicious activity or conflict.
- Operate CCTV systems and other security equipment where authorised.
- Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs and electronic records.
- Support planned events, community activities and promotional initiatives across the development.
- Liaise professionally with emergency services, local authorities and other stakeholders when required.
- Deliver excellent customer service by assisting visitors and providing information where needed.
- Maintain issued equipment, radios and uniform standards whilst promoting professionalism at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid frontline SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence.
Desirable:

CCTV Licence and/or Previous CCTV/Control Room experience.

Full 5-year checkable employment history.

Previous security experience within retail, corporate, residential or public-facing environments.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Customer service experience and confidence handling conflict professionally.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
-
Flexible approach to shift work including weekends and bank holidays.

Professional appearance and high personal standards.
