Purpose of the Role

The role focuses on maintaining safety, preventing crime, and supporting customers while representing the security team professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect people, property, and assets by maintaining a visible and proactive security presence
  • Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas
  • Conduct regular patrols on foot to deter and detect suspicious activity
  • Observe, report, and document incidents, safety hazards, and security breaches accurately
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances
  • Enforce company policies, rules, and safety procedures
  • Operate security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access-control equipment
  • Assist visitors, employees, and customers while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Coordinate with all emergency services when necessary
  • Perform searches or inspections as authorized (bags, vehicles, ID checks)
  • Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports
  • Support emergency evacuation procedures and crowd control when required
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
