Concierge Security Officer (SIA Door Supervisor)

Location: Sanctuary Students, Greath Wilkins Residence, University of Brighton, Falmer Campus, Brighton, BN1 9QW

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 40+ hours per week

Shifts: Monday to Sunday, as per rota

17:00 - 22:00

22:00 - 09:00

About The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Concierge Security Officer to join Kingdom Services Group Ltd at a busy student accommodation site located at Greath Wilkins Residence, University of Brighton, Falmer Campus.

This role is ideal for a professional, customer-focused security officer who can provide a safe and secure environment for students, visitors, and staff while delivering a high standard of concierge service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor access and egress to the student accommodation site.
  • Control authorized pedestrian and visitor access.
  • Conduct regular night-time and daytime patrols throughout the premises.
  • Provide a welcoming, helpful, and professional presence for students and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and report them accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with emergency services when required.
  • Manage deliveries, parcels, and mail using site systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Ensure all Assignment Instructions and site procedures are followed.
  • Identify and report Health & Safety and security concerns.
  • Protect residents, property, and assets from loss, damage, or risk.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo screening where applicable).
  • Full five-year checkable employment history.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good IT literacy.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically and medically fit to undertake patrol duties.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations and emergency services.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a concierge, security, student accommodation, or residential environment.
  • Experience working with young adults or diverse customer groups.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures within residential buildings.
  • Between 2 and 5 years' experience in a security-related role.
