We’re Hiring: Security Officer
📍 Location: Winnersh, RG41 5TP
💰 Pay: £13.97 per hour
📅 Hours: 42 hours per week
🌙 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, nights only (19:00 - 07:00)
We are currently recruiting for 2 Security Officers to join our team in Winnersh. As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service, protecting people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

As a Security Officer, you will protect people, property, and assets while delivering excellent customer service at a leading technology site. The Security Officer will carry out patrols, monitor security systems, control access, and respond to incidents in line with site procedures. The Security Officer must hold a valid SIA Licence and demonstrate Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.
Responsibilities
Job Description
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Conduct regular security patrols and monitor CCTV, alarms, and access points.
- Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Control site access, issue passes, and manage keys.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, evacuations, and fire alarms.
- Protect people, property, and assets from loss, theft, and damage.
- Complete accurate records, incident reports, and shift handovers.
- Ensure compliance with security, health & safety, and site procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A 5-year checkable employment history, including any periods of employment, education, self-employment, or unemployment.
- No unspent criminal convictions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, professional, and punctual with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Must be aged 18 or over.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Security Officer or within the security industry.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
- A valid First Aid qualification.
