Role

Working within this Central London building and a prestigious environment in the City, your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout.

You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be and become well-versed in the processes and practices of a Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well-drilled security operation.

To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a 'one team' approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with construction staff, cleaning, maintenance, and on-site management. This will provide an environment which is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.

Site: Bartholomew Lane

Hours: 08:00 - 18:00 (10 hrs per day, 50 per week)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors.
  • Take an active interest in, and demonstrate commitment to, the client and tenants.
  • Ensure that the environment and service are truly excellent and exceed expectations.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks and challenges.
  • Be accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated.
  • Escalate building faults to the helpdesk.
  • Ensure all contact, whether internal or external, by telephone, face-to-face, or any other medium, is clear, courteous, polite, professional, and respectful.
  • Ensure complete client, tenant, and service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount.
  • Appropriate use of CCTV, access control, and any other electronic management systems, with the timely completion of reports and documentation.
  • Be familiar with all Security and Emergency Procedures on site and assist in their safe implementation and practice. There may also be a requirement to become a Fire Marshal; training will be provided.
  • Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks and responsibilities to the highest possible standard.
  • Complete any other reasonable task as instructed by onsite management, other Senior Managers, UniTrust, or at the request of the Client and/or tenants.
  • Support internal and external audit processes conducted by UniTrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, or any other relevant body with a legitimate reason for inspection or compliance checks.
  • Patrol the property when required to do so.
  • Act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner.
  • Be resilient when working in sensitive environments, dealing with conflict using a respectful and empathetic approach at all times.
  • Be prepared to manage a wide variety of scenarios, people, and challenges.
  • Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and the Company's Code of Conduct.
