Whether you're responding to incidents, supporting students and staff, or monitoring activity in our control room, every day brings something different.
We’re looking for proactive and motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and are keen to help others. As part of our Security Team, you'll play a key role in creating a reassuring presence and helping to maintain a positive, safe environment for students, staff and visitors.
- No two days are the same in this role. Your daily duties will vary depending on what’s happening across our busy campus.
- You might be based in our control room monitoring CCTV, out on foot patrol, or providing a reassuring and friendly presence at an event.
- You could also find yourself assisting with a first aid incident or helping to coordinate a response during an emergency, all while supporting the wider university community and keeping people safe.

As the role involves driving a Security Services vehicle, a full and valid driving licence is essential. This enables our team to respond quickly across both the main campus and off-campus locations, ensuring we can support colleagues and deliver a consistent, high-quality service.
This role follows a rotating shift pattern of 12-hour day and night shifts. Many team members value the structure and regular time off it provides. Further details can be found in the candidate brief.

- A Basic DBS check will be required for this role.
