Company Description
We’re Hiring: Security Officer
📍 Location: Gloucester, UK
💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour
📅 Hours: Average 42 hours, 4 on 4 off DAYS & NIGHTS (07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00)

As a Security Officer at Securitas, you'll be working with one of our UK-based manufacturers of advanced composite materials and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) solutions, who deliver high-performance components across sectors including defence, aerospace, rail, automotive, medical, marine, and energy.
As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant site. Our Security Officers protect people, assets, and operations by managing access control, responding to incidents, and supporting site safety standards helping to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted running of the manufacturing environment.
For this position and as a Site requirement, you must be willing and able to successfully achieve SC Clearance. You must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the past 5 years.
Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property and Premises
- Prevent unauthorized access and monitor alarms/CCTV.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
- Manage traffic, parking, keys, and locking/unlocking duties.
- Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain records/logbooks.
- Issue visitor passes and manage site equipment per procedures.
- Handle lost property in line with instructions.

Health and Safety
- Support staff, visitors, and contractors to ensure site safety.
- Follow and enforce health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and incidents.
- Keep emergency routes clear at all times.
- Report use and shortages of First Aid supplies.
- Notify SOC in emergencies and follow instructions.
- Investigate all fire alarm activations.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years
- Must be British National
- Must be able to achieve and obtain SC Clearance
- SIA Licence (essential)
- Right to work in the UK, with a 5 year checkable history.
- First Aid qualification
- Must be 18 and have no criminal convictions
- Good communication skills and customer focus, ability to work independently and in a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shifts (days/nights/weekends).
- Full UK driving licence and own transport desirable.
- Previous experience in a security or gatehouse role (preferred).
