We're Hiring: Security Officer
š Location: Bristol, Avon, BS1 6BP
š° Pay: Ā£14.15 per hour
š Shift Pattern: 19:00 - 07:00 (Nights)
š Roster: 4 on, 4 off (Average 42 hours per week)

As a Security Officer, you will help protect employees, visitors, property, and assets within a prestigious corporate office in Central Bristol. The Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment, always demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. This is an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to support a business shaping the future of AI. A valid SIA licence is required before commencing operational shifts.
Responsibilities
Job Description
Youāll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Control access to site and manage visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems to ensure site safety.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the building and surrounding areas.
- Provide a highly visible security presence to deter unauthorised access, loss, theft, and damage.
- Lock and unlock designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and fire alarm activations.
- Assist employees, contractors, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support the health, safety, and welfare of all site occupants and report hazards or concerns.
- Complete accurate incident reports, shift logs, and all required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all site, health & safety, and security procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications
What weāre looking for:
We're looking for someone who sees a different world, values teamwork, takes initiative, and is committed to delivering exceptional service. Ideally, you'll have:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Previous experience in a corporate security environment (preferred).
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
- The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable work/history record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach to work.
