Retail Security Officer – Tesco Partnership
Location: Tesco Newmarket Road, Cambridge (CB5 8LD)
Pay: £13.72 per hour
Hours: 36+ hours per week (Permanent Position)
Shifts: 06:00–15:00 and 15:00–00:00
Requirement: Valid SIA Licence, own transport, and flexibility to travel
About The Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a confident, professional, and reliable Retail Security Officer to join the team at Tesco Newmarket Road, Cambridge.
This is a permanent position offering 36+ hours per week, with responsibility for providing a strong and visible security presence at the Cambridge store and supporting nearby locations, including Newmarket and Ely, when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrolling Tesco stores to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues
- Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
- Monitoring premises and responding appropriately to incidents
- Completing accurate reports and recording observations
- Supporting Tesco colleagues with store security requirements
- Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining store security

What We're Looking For
- Valid Door Supervisor SIA Licence
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement
- Previous security experience desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work varying hours as required
- Own transport and willingness to travel to support surrounding stores, including Newmarket and Ely
