Mitie has a great opportunity at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, Barnet, London. We are currently looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about looking after and anticipating the needs of our customers. Working within the essential Security team, you will be the main point of contact for all of our customers and retailers within the Centre. Offering a pay rate of £14.59 per hour, working 45 hours per week.
About the Role
The Security Officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive, and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
As the first point of contact for all customers and clients, the Security Officers must have geographical awareness of their local surroundings. The Security Officer must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services. Report to the Security Shift Manager or Duty Controller – they must record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Team player with an enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Calm under pressure
- Door Supervision or Security Guarding License desirable
