Role Description
The Security Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Middlesbrough. The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting client premises, assets, and people through regular patrols, access control, visitor and contractor management, and monitoring of security systems such as CCTV and alarms. - Conducting thorough security checks

The role also involves:
- Liaising with clients, colleagues, and emergency services when required
- Maintaining a visible security presence
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Security Officers are expected to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays, depending on client requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong observational skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail to identify risks and respond appropriately
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, visitors, and colleagues in a calm and professional manner
- Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment to manage incidents, resolve conflicts, and make decisions under pressure
- Basic report writing and record-keeping skills to document incidents, patrols, and daily activities clearly and accurately
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including working in varying weather conditions
- Valid SIA licence (e.g., Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and prior experience in security, policing, military, or a related field are highly beneficial
- Basic IT skills for using security systems and completing electronic reports, along with a clean criminal record and eligibility to work in the UK
- Professional attitude, reliability, flexibility to work different shifts, and a commitment to health and safety and safeguarding best practices are essential
