We’re Hiring: Security Officer Apprentice!
📍 Location: Puriton, TA7 8AA
💰 Pay: £12.80 per hour OR £35,000+ per year!
📅 Hours: Monday to Friday (6am - 6pm)

Are you ready to take the first step into the security industry? Join our Security Officer Apprenticeship and gain valuable hands-on experience, professional training, and a nationally recognised qualification, all while earning a salary.
Based at a modern, innovative client site, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service and security support across a thriving business community. Home to a diverse range of growing organisations, this dynamic environment offers no two days the same and provides the perfect setting to develop your skills and confidence across Security & customer first environments.
No previous security experience is required, just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. You'll be supported every step of the way by experienced colleagues committed to helping you build a successful and rewarding career.
After your first month, you'll begin a Level 2 Professional Security Operative Apprenticeship, gaining the skills, knowledge, and recognised qualifications needed to build a long-term future in the security industry and with Securitas UK.

Career Progression
Many apprentices go on to become:
- Site Supervisors within the first 2 years.
- Extended learning to additional qualifications and become Managers!
- And nearly all apprentices leave with the skill to operate amongst diverse teams, some go on to Lead them.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Patrol the site to ensure safety and security of people, buildings, and assets.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access control systems.
- Check ID badges, visitor passes, and deliveries.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following site procedures.
- Complete incident reports and daily occurrence logs accurately.
- Provide a visible security presence and excellent customer service.
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems where required.
- Carry out regular health and safety checks (e.g., fire exits, hazards).
- Liaise with client staff, emergency services, and colleagues as needed.
- Follow all Securitas policies, assignment instructions, and safety rules.

Qualifications
What you'll need:
No security experience needed – just the right attitude!
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is Age 18+
- Ideal for someone with 0 to 6 months security experience.
- GCSE Maths & English (or willing to complete).
- Good communication skills.
- Calm under pressure.
- A team player with attention to detail.
- Demonstrates integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness — our core values.
