Company Description

We’re Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Covering sites in Liverpool
💰 Pay: £12.71 per hour
📅 Hours: 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off (covering days, nights, and weekends)

Are you an experienced Security Officer looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff while delivering exceptional customer service.

This Security Officer role offers the chance to work within a dynamic residential setting, supporting site operations through proactive security, incident response, patrols, access control, and stakeholder engagement, while embodying the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Job Description

  • Monitor and control site access, ensuring visitors are correctly authorised before entry.
  • Conduct regular internal and external patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and key access points where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports, logs, and security records.
  • Support residents and visitors by providing guidance and managing behaviours professionally.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, residents, and visitors at all times.
  • Liaise with management regarding serious incidents and security concerns.
  • Enforce site procedures relating to fire safety, access control, and occupancy compliance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while upholding the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Licence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to provide a five-year checkable employment history and satisfy screening requirements, including enhanced DBS checks where required.

Desirable

  • Fire Warden qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport.
