We are seeking experienced and professional Security Officers to join a dedicated on-site security team in London. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of security across a modern, multi-tenant commercial environment.

Pay Rate
- £16.50 per hour
Shift Pattern
- 4-on / 4-off (Rotating Days & Nights, average 48 hours per week)
Location
- Farringdon, London
Role Requirements
- SIA Door Supervision Licence required.
- SIA CCTV Licence preferable.

Must Have
- Valid SIA Door Supervision Licence
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence preferable, but not essential
- Proven experience as a Security Officer
- Experience within a corporate, multi-tenant commercial or high-profile environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Ability to produce clear, concise and accurate incident reports
- Strong observation and surveillance skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Ability to work a 4-on / 4-off rotating day and night shift pattern
- IT literate with experience using security systems and software
- 5-year checkable work history

Main Duties
- Act as a professional point of contact for staff, tenants, visitors and contractors
- Provide a welcoming and customer-focused front-of-house security service
- Monitor entrances and maintain a vigilant security presence
- Monitor CCTV and access control systems
- Operate and monitor the fire alarm control panel, responding appropriately to alerts and activations
- Manage visitor and contractor access and accurately record site activity
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of public areas, tenant perimeters, loading bays and plant rooms
- Inspect doors, barriers, locks and other physical security assets
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, suspicious activity and security breaches immediately
- Respond effectively to fire alarms, medical emergencies, security incidents and other emergencies
- Deal with conflict appropriately and professionally when required
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift handover entries to the required standard
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and awareness of health and safety risks
- Deter criminal activity and identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Work independently and use initiative when responding to incidents or issues
- Maintain professional standards and provide excellent customer service at all times
