We’re Hiring: Security Officer
📍 Location: CHELTENHAM
💰 Pay: £14.51
📅 Hours: 4 on 4 off DAYS 07:00-19:00 (Av 42 hours)

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service in line with site instructions and customer requirements to protect people, property, and assets. The Security Officer will deliver excellent customer service while upholding Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. The Security Officer must hold a valid SIA Licence before commencing operational duties.
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Conduct patrols and security checks to protect people, property, and assets.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Manage site access for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Carry out locking and unlocking duties as required.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records.
- Support health and safety compliance across the site.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a professional, welcoming presence.
- Follow all site procedures, assignment instructions, and security protocols.
- Uphold Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- 5-year checkable history, including evidence of employment, education, self-employment, or unemployment where required.
- Valid SIA Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- First Aid qualification.
- Aged 18 or over with no unspent criminal convictions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, professional, and flexible to work days, nights, and weekends.
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
- Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a gatehouse environment.
- Committed to upholding Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
