Retail Security Officer

Location: Tesco St Edmunds Express, NN1 4DR

Pay: £13.72 per hour

Hours: 0–48 hours per week (Relief/Flexi Contract)

Shift Times: Various shifts between 06:00 and 00:00, Monday to Sunday, as per site rota

About The Role

Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to support our Tesco St Edmunds Express store in Northampton.

This flexible relief role offers varying hours each week, making it ideal for individuals seeking adaptable working patterns. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues while delivering outstanding service and representing the Kingdom brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with store management to help prevent shoplifting and internal theft
  • Provide a visible and professional security presence
  • Conduct regular store patrols to ensure safety and security
  • Monitor CCTV systems within the store
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents
  • Complete accurate incident reports and maintain up-to-date documentation
  • Support store colleagues and contribute to efficient store operations
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Handle challenging situations calmly, professionally, and confidently

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
  • Full 5-year checkable work history
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, reliable, and confident approach
  • Good observation skills and sound judgement
  • Previous security experience desirable but not essential
  • Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns
  • Own transport required
