About the Company
Our client, an established further education provider, is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors.
About the Role
The role will involve carrying out regular patrols, responding to incidents, supporting reception services and completing investigations or searches when directed by management. The successful candidate will work independently when required and use sound judgement to assess situations and take appropriate action. Hours are normally worked Monday to Friday on a rota between 8:45am and 9:15pm, with occasional weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors.
- Assess incidents and situations promptly and take appropriate action.
- Provide a professional reception service at the designated reception point.
- Carry out regular internal and external patrols.
- Conduct investigations or searches when directed by management.
- Respond appropriately to security concerns and safeguarding matters.
- Build professional and appropriate relationships with students, colleagues and visitors.
- Work independently and use initiative when managing day-to-day security issues.
- Support the organisation’s safeguarding and student welfare responsibilities.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: £26,507–£27,670 per annum
