Purpose of the Role

Security officers at OMNi are expected to deliver exemplary standards of safety, security, and customer service to both internal and external customers. Security officers will assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the centre, including but not limited to emergencies, visible security cover in the centre, handling of customer enquiries and concerns, CCTV and control room duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor on-site health, safety, and security.
  • Record and report all incidents/occurrences via Datastation (online compliance portal).
  • Control and supervision of contractors.
  • Respond to all reasonable requests from tenants, including requests for assistance.
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests made by the Line Manager.
  • Normal control room duties, e.g., answering telephone, monitoring systems, filing, monitoring email account, and responding in a timely manner, managing service yard operations.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities; you may be required to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation.

  • Valid SIA frontline license
  • Valid SIA CCTV license (preferable but not essential – training will be provided)
  • Good alertness/vigilance
  • Ability to lead and work well within a team
  • Good communication, both written and spoken, respectful and empathetic

  • Good judgment

Working Hours

  • Average 42 hours per week
  • 4 on 4 off (Day shift & Night Shift – rotational)
  • 12 hours per shift

  • £13.01/hr
