Company Description

We’re Hiring: Security Officer (Operations Centre)
📍 Location: Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14
💰 Pay: £15.45 Per Hour
📅 Hours: 42hrs 4 on / 4 off : 12-hour shifts (2 days and 2 nights)

Grade: Site Based

As a Security Operations Centre Officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect what’s important—you’ll help keep people, property and information safe across local and international locations. Working as part of the European Security Operations Centre for a prestigious pharmaceutical company, you’ll play an essential role within the Global Security Department, supporting a safe, secure and resilient environment.

Your role will be SOC-led, with a primary focus on monitoring security systems, assessing and responding to incidents, maintaining accurate incident and compliance records, and supporting business-continuity activities. You’ll also take on physical-security responsibilities at the designated site, including patrols, emergency support and providing a professional, customer-focused service to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
  • Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
  • Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
  • Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A valid SIA licence.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
  • Holding an SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Holding a valid First Aid qualification.
